GATE Admit Card 2026: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. The admit cards for GATE 2026 were initially scheduled for release on January 2, 2026, but IIT Guwahati has issued an official notice extending the release date. Candidates are advised to keep checking the official website regularly. No official notification regarding the release of the admit card has been issued yet. However, according to media reports, the admit card may be released very soon.

First, visit the official website at gate2026.iitg.ac.in
Click on the “GATE Admit Card 2026” link on the homepage.
Enter your registration number and password/date of birth.
Upon logging in, the admit card will appear on the screen.
Download the admit card as a PDF.
Make sure to take a printout for future reference.
When will the exam be held?
According to the official notification issued by IIT Guwahati, the GATE exam will be conducted at various examination centres across the country on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. The exam will be held in two shifts. The first shift will be from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and the second shift will be from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The exam results will be declared on March 19, 2026.
Exam Pattern
The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions. The exam will consist of one-mark and two-mark questions. There will be negative marking: one-third of a mark will be deducted for each incorrect one-mark answer, and two-thirds of a mark will be deducted for each incorrect two-mark answer.
Mobile phones, calculators, watches (of any kind), purses/wallets, books, papers, bags, pen boxes, and any electronic devices are not permitted inside the examination centre.
