CTET Re-exam Date 2026: Big news is coming for candidates preparing for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test. A decision has been made to re-conduct Paper 2 of the CTET February 2026 session. The exam was cancelled at some centres in the Vaishali district, Bihar, due to administrative reasons. The board stated that the decision to re-examine was made to ensure that no candidate is unfairly treated.

The 21st edition of the CTET was held on February 7th and 8th, 2026. Candidates who took the exam are eagerly awaiting the release of their answer keys. It is anticipated that the answer keys may be released as soon as possible. However, the exact date for the release of the answer keys has not yet been officially confirmed. Meanwhile, on February 7th, the Paper 2 exam had to be cancelled at some centres in the Vaishali district, forcing hundreds of candidates to return without taking the exam.

Which centers were the exam not held?

According to information released by the board, the centres where the Paper-2 exam could not be conducted include Lakshya Academy, Bardiha, Patepur, Vaishali (Hajipur) and St. John Academy, Basmati Nagar, Keshopur, Post Office Baluka Ram, Vaishali. The exam arrangements at these two centres were not fully operational, so the exam was cancelled.

Re-exam to be held on March 1
CBSE has clarified that the CTET Paper-2 re-exam will be held on March 1, 2026, at the two exam centers. Only candidates who previously had their exam centres at these locations will be able to appear for this re-exam.

When will the admit card be issued?

Candidates appearing for the re-exam will be issued a new admit card. This admit card will be made available in the candidate’s login. All candidates are advised to download their hall tickets from the official website, ctet.nic.in. Without a new admit card, they will not be allowed to enter the examination center.
