CA Intermediate Group 2 Exam Postponed: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed the Chartered Accountants Intermediate Group 2 Auditing and Ethics examination. This is big news for all the candidates who were scheduled to appear for this exam. Paper 5 of the examination was scheduled to be held on January 19, 2026, but it has been cancelled for the time being. The revised date for the ICAI examination will be announced soon. An official notification issued by the ICAI states that:
Due to unavoidable circumstances, the Chartered Accountant Intermediate Group 2 examination, Paper 5: Auditing and Ethics, scheduled to be held on January 19, 2026 (Monday), in India and abroad, has been postponed. It should be noted that only the date for Paper 5 Auditing and Ethics of Intermediate Group 2 has been changed.
There is no change in the schedule of other examinations besides Paper 5. The institute has stated that all other papers of the CA Intermediate January 2026 examination will be conducted as per the originally announced schedule.
The ICAI had previously changed the time for the Group II, Paper 5 Auditing and Ethics examination. This exam was earlier scheduled for January 15, 2026. The exam date has been changed once again.
CA Foundation & Final Exam Dates:
The ICAI CA Foundation 2026 examinations will be held on January 18, 20, 22, and 24, while the CA Final 2026 examinations are scheduled for January 5, 7, and 9 for Group 1 and January 11, 13, and 16 for Group 2.
CA Intermediate Group II Paper-5 Exam Postponed
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has postponed the CA Intermediate Group II Paper-5 Auditing and Ethics examination. This exam was previously scheduled for January 19, 2026. According to the official notice issued by ICAI, the decision was taken due to some unavoidable circumstances. This postponement will apply to all examination centres, both in India and abroad.
