AIBE 20- Important Exam Day Instructions Released. If you’ve applied for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 20, here’s some good news. Preparations for the AIBE 20, conducted by the Bar Council of India (BCI), are complete. The exam will be held on November 30th at designated exam centres across the country. Before the exam, the BCI has issued important exam guidelines for all candidates. Candidates planning to appear should carefully read these instructions to avoid any problems on exam day.

The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 20 is a crucial exam conducted by the Bar Council of India for law graduates seeking to practice as lawyers. Upon passing the exam, candidates will be granted a certificate of practice and are eligible to practice in any court in India.

Admit Card and Identification Card Mandatory

All candidates must bring a printout of their admit card and a valid government-issued photo ID to the exam centre.

  • No candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam without an admit card.
  • Check the Exam Centre Location a Day in Advance

BCI advises all candidates to visit their exam centre a day before the exam. This will facilitate arriving on time on exam day and avoid any delays due to an unfamiliar location.

Reporting Time and Entry Rules

  • Candidates must arrive at the exam centre by 11:30 AM.
  • No candidate will be admitted after 1:15 PM.

Therefore, all candidates are advised to leave early and plan their journey, keeping traffic conditions in mind.

What documents are allowed?

The BCI has clarified that candidates may only carry “original bare documents (without any notes or comments)” to the examination centre. Any other copy, guidebook, or notes are prohibited.

What items are strictly prohibited?

These items are strictly prohibited from being brought into the examination centre:

  • Mobile phone
  • Smart watch
  • Bag or handbag
  • Calculator
  • Electronic gadget
  • Paper or notes
  • Any type of book (containing notes)

Candidates found using any unfair means during the examination will be immediately disqualified.

Use only blue/black ballpoint pens in the answer sheet.

Candidates must fill in all marks on the OMR answer sheet with a blue or black ballpoint pen.

The use of pencils is strictly prohibited. If a candidate fills in answers using a pencil, their exam will be automatically cancelled.
