What is the UPI Circle feature?
In simple terms, the UPI Circle is a robust feature that enables you to link your main UPI account to another user or account for making payments. This is particularly useful for parents who wish to provide limited access to their children. Additionally, if you own two devices, you can connect your second number or account to one of them for payment purposes.
How to set up the UPI Circle feature?
Setting up the UPI Circle or Pocket Money feature is quite straightforward.
- To begin, launch the UPI app on your primary smartphone.
- Next, navigate through the app to find the Circle or Pocket Money option.
- From there, click on the ‘Invite Dependent’ option.
- Then, choose the mobile number you wish to add to your Circle.
- After that, scan the UPI ID or QR code of the individual you want to include.
- To finalize the setup, you may need to verify your Aadhaar number.
- During the setup process, you will encounter two options.
- First, you can require approval for every payment made.
- Second, you can set a limit that allows the other account to make payments independently up to a specified amount.
Once you configure this option, the second account will be successfully added to your UPI Circle. This will enable you to conveniently make UPI payments from both devices, eliminating the need to constantly rely on your primary phone.
