The Commission has announced that the exam will begin on November 12, 2025. Additionally, exam city intimation slips, informing candidates of their exam city, will be released soon. Candidates can download these slips online from the SSC’s official website, ssc.gov.in.

City Intimation Slips May Be Released Anytime

According to sources, the Commission may activate the city intimation link for the CHSL Tier-1 exam at any time. This slip informs candidates of the city in which their exam centre will be located. Candidates can plan their travel or accommodation using this slip. Note that the city slip is for informational purposes only; it will not be considered an admit card.

Admit Cards to Be Released on November 9th or 10th

As per the Commission’s tradition, admit cards for SSC exams are released 3 to 4 days before the exam. Based on this, it is expected that the CHSL Tier-1 exam admit cards will be available for download on November 9th or 10th, 2025. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards by logging in with their registration number and date of birth.

Process to Download City Slips and

  • First, visit ssc.gov.in.
  • Click on the “CHSL 2025 City Intimation Slip” link on the home page.
  • Now enter your login credentials (registration number and password/date of birth).
  • The city slip will open on the screen. Download and print it from here.

Candidates should note that it is mandatory to carry a valid photo ID (such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, driving license) along with the admit card to the exam centre. The city slip is only for providing exam city information; it will not grant entry to the exam centre.

Learn the Exam Pattern

The SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam will be computer-based and will have a total of four sections.

  • English Language (Basic Knowledge)
  • General Intelligence
  • Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skills)
  • General Awareness

Each section will have 25 questions, making a total of 100 questions. The exam duration will be 1 hour, while candidates with disabilities will be given 80 minutes. The questions will be multiple-choice (MCQ), and negative marking will apply for each wrong answer.

Candidates should accelerate their exam preparation

With just a few days remaining for the exam, candidates are now engaged in final revision. According to experts, students are advised to practice previous year question papers, focus on time management, and revise general awareness topics.
