If you’re planning to travel by train in November, this is extremely important news for you. Several long-distance express trains passing through the Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railway have been cancelled, while some trains have been significantly rerouted.
Due to ongoing remodeling and repair work at the Shalimar station yard, 10 express trains will be completely cancelled between November 8th and 21st. If you have booked a ticket for these dates, be sure to check your train status before departing to avoid any inconvenience.
Trains Cancelled Due to Repair Work at Shalimar Station

The Railways have made a major operational change in November to avoid inconvenience to passengers. Due to the ongoing remodeling and repair work at the Shalimar station yard, South Eastern Railway has taken this unprecedented decision to ensure safety and ensure timely completion of the work. This work will continue from November 8th to November 21st. Due to this urgent work, a total of 10 express trains will be cancelled on various dates.
Detailed information about the cancelled express trains
Train No. 18030 (Shalimar – Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Kurla Express) will be cancelled from November 13th to November 21st. Train No. 22830 (Shalimar – Bhuj Superfast Express) will be cancelled on November 8th and 15th, while Train No. 22829 (Bhuj – Shalimar Superfast Express) will be cancelled on November 11th and 18th. Similarly, Train No. 15022 (Gorakhpur – Shalimar Weekly Express) will be cancelled on November 10th and 17th, and Train No. 15021 (Shalimar – Gorakhpur Weekly Express) will be cancelled on November 11th and 18th.
Train No. 18029 (Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Shalimar Kurla Express) will be cancelled from November 11th to November 19th. Another important Mumbai-bound train, Train No. 12151 (Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Shalimar Samrasata Express), will be cancelled on November 12, 13, and 19. Its return train, Train No. 12152 (Shalimar – Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Samrasata Express), will be cancelled on November 14, 15, and 21. Additionally, Train No. 20971 (Udaipur City – Shalimar Superfast Express) will be cancelled on November 15, and Train No. 20972 (Shalimar – Udaipur City Superfast Express) will be cancelled on November 16.
Train Routes Also Changed
To minimize the impact on train operations, the Railways has also made major changes to the routes of some important trains. These trains will now run/terminate at Santragachi station instead of Shalimar.

Train No. 18049 (Shalimar – Badampahar Weekly Express) will run from Santragachi to Badampahar on November 8, 15, and 22. Similarly, Train No. 18050 (Badampahar – Shalimar Weekly Express) will run only to Santragachi on November 9, 16, and 23. Train No. 12101 (Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Shalimar Gyaneshwari Express) will run to Santragachi on November 18, and Train No. 12102 (Shalimar – Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Gyaneshwari Express) will run from Santragachi on November 20.
Train No. 12905 (Porbandar – Shalimar Superfast Express) coming from Gujarat will run to Santragachi on November 19, and Train No. 12906 (Shalimar – Porbandar Superfast Express) will run from Santragachi on November 21.
