PM Kisan Yojana 22nd Instalment: Very shocking news has come to light for the millions of farmers eagerly awaiting the next installment under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Just before the release of the 22nd installment, the central government has initiated a thorough re-verification of beneficiary data, resulting in the removal of the names of millions of farmers who violated eligibility rules from the main list.

The government has taken this strict step to ensure that the scheme’s funds reach only those small and marginal farmers who are truly eligible.
Why are names being removed from the list
During the investigation, two main reasons have emerged that have led to the removal of ineligible farmers. The first major reason is changes in land records and ambiguity regarding ownership rights. According to the government’s new guidelines, the eligibility of farmers whose land was registered after February 1, 2019, is being thoroughly re-verified. If clear ownership documents are not found within the stipulated timeframe, their names will be immediately removed from the portal.
Another serious reason is the deliberate violation of family-related rules. According to the strict provisions of the scheme, only one member of a family consisting of husband, wife, and minor children can avail the benefit. Investigations have revealed several shocking cases where both husband and wife were collecting separate installments. To prevent such fraud, the government has not only stopped payments but is also preparing to recover all installments received if found guilty.
How to Check Your Name and Status from Home
If you want to know whether your next ₹2,000 will be credited to your account or not, you no longer need to visit any government office. You can check the status from your mobile phone by visiting the official portal pmkisan.gov.in. In the ‘Farmers Corner’ section on the website’s homepage, you’ll find the ‘Know Your Status’ option, where you’ll need to enter your registration number or registered mobile number.
After entering the captcha code, your complete information will appear on the screen as soon as you enter the data. Here, you’ll need to carefully check the status of ‘e-KYC’ and ‘Land Seeding’. If ‘YES’ isn’t written in green next to these two options, your upcoming installment will be technically stuck. To rectify this, you can immediately visit the nearest CSC center and complete your biometric KYC.
When will the 22nd installment arrive
Although the government has not yet publicly announced a specific official date, sources within the Ministry of Agriculture and various media reports suggest that the 22nd installment could be released as early as the first week of March 2026.
There is a strong possibility that an amount of ₹2,000 will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of millions of farmers just before the holy festival of Holi, to help revive the rural economy and enable farmers to celebrate the festival happily. To avoid any last-minute panic or hassle, farmers are advised to link their bank accounts to Aadhaar and ensure that their bank accounts are fully activated for DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
