Majhi Ladki Behen Yojana: Millions of women in Maharashtra have received heartening news today. Women who benefit from the state government’s “Majhi Ladki Behen Yojana” will finally receive their October installment of Rs 1,500 in their bank accounts today. Maharashtra’s Women and Child Welfare Minister, Aditi Tatkare, personally shared this crucial information, bringing a ray of hope to thousands of families.
The installment was delayed due to E-KYC
Normally, beneficiary sisters receive a Samman Nidhi (honorary fund) of Rs 1,500 every month, but this time, due to the e-KYC process, the October installment was not received on time. Minister Aditi clarified that this amount will be deposited in all sisters’ Aadhaar-linked bank accounts today, Tuesday. The government’s intention is to ensure that no eligible woman is deprived of the scheme’s benefits and that their financial security is maintained.
Minister Aditi Tatkare posted in Marathi on Instagram, writing, “Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Behen Yojana: A Sustainable Revolution in Women’s Empowerment!” Her message is being seen as a symbol of change in women’s lives. The distribution of this installment of the scheme begins today, and all eligible beneficiaries’ accounts will soon be filled with Rs 1,500. Under this scheme, the state government provides financial assistance to millions of women every month, fulfilling their dreams of self-reliance.
E-KYC is mandatory by November 18
The Minister advised that all beneficiary women must complete their e-KYC process before November 18th. Failure to do so could result in the Rs 1,500 installment being blocked in their account. This means that the money will only be received once the KYC for their Aadhaar-linked bank account is complete. The government has already issued a warning regarding this, so that no woman is deprived of the benefits.
The Majhi Ladki Behen Yojana is not just financial assistance, but a major initiative to build women’s respect, self-confidence, and empowerment. It helps them confidently handle household responsibilities and support children’s education and health. At a time when inflation is rising, a monthly assistance of Rs 1,500 makes meeting every household’s needs a little easier.
