LPG Cylinders become more expensive, Know the new rates 

LPG Price Hike: Major setback for common people. LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) rates have been updated on 1 March before Holi. Consumers have been hit by inflation even before Holi. Consumers of commercial LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) cylinders have been hit by a shock of around Rs 28 to 31 from Delhi to Patna. It is a matter of relief for domestic consumers that there has been no change in the price of 14 kg LPG cylinder. The March trend of commercial cylinders did not change. This time March did give a shock.

In Delhi, a 19 kg LPG cylinder will be available from today at Rs 1768.50. Earlier it was available for Rs 1740.50. In Kolkata, it was earlier priced at Rs 1844.50 and now it has become Rs 1875.50. In Mumbai, a commercial cylinder will be available from today at Rs 1720 instead of Rs 1692. In Chennai, a commercial cylinder will be available from today at Rs 1929. Earlier it was priced at Rs 1899.50.

Domestic LPG rates

Based on data from Indian Oil, LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) prices in India, a 14.2 kg domestic cylinder is available today for Rs 853 in Delhi. Its price in Patna is Rs 951. It’s available in Mumbai for Rs 852.50 and Lucknow for Rs 890.50. It’s available in Kargil for Rs 985.5, Pulwama for Rs 969, and Bageshwar for Rs 890.5.

Data from the past five years shows that March has often brought inflation for LPG consumers. Commercial cylinders have become more expensive every month, while consumers have been shocked whenever domestic cylinder rates have changed. Currently, at the end of February 2026, a domestic LPG cylinder is available for Rs 853 in Delhi, Rs 879 in Kolkata, Rs 852.50 in Mumbai, and Rs 868.50 in Chennai.

Meanwhile, a commercial cylinder costs Rs 1740.50 in Delhi, Rs 1844.50 in Kolkata, Rs 1692 in Mumbai, and Rs 1899.50 in Chennai. Let’s take a look at the year-by-year price changes in March.
