LPG Rates Today: Along with petrol and diesel prices, the cost of gas cylinders has also risen recently. While domestic cylinder prices remain stable, commercial cylinder prices are seeing a continuous upward trend. A significant hike in cylinder prices was recorded on June 1, leaving customers disappointed.
On June 5, the price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder in major Indian cities ranges from ₹910.50 to ₹1,002.50. Following a massive hike in May, commercial cylinder rates have increased by another ₹42 in June.

A point of relief for the general public is that domestic LPG cylinder prices have not increased since March. If you plan to purchase an LPG cylinder, you can check the city-wise rates beforehand.

How Prices Are Determined
**International Market:** India imports approximately 60% of its LPG requirements; therefore, global crude oil and gas prices directly influence domestic cylinder prices.
**Dollar-Rupee Exchange Rate:** Fluctuations in the value of the Indian Rupee against the US Dollar also affect LPG costs within the country.
State-Level Taxes
Local VAT and distributor transportation charges vary by state, leading to slight price differences between cities.
