What is the Ladli Behna Yojana?

Can government employees apply?
No, government employees cannot apply for the Ladli Behna Yojana. This initiative is specifically tailored for families that are economically disadvantaged and do not pay taxes.
Can a salaried woman apply?
Salaried women are eligible to apply for the ‘Ladli Behna Yojana’ if they work in a purely private sector job and their family’s total income is below Rs 2.5 lakh annually. However, if you or any family member is a regular, permanent, or contract government employee, or if anyone in your family pays income tax, you will not qualify.
Can a married woman apply?
Yes, a married woman can apply for the Ladli Behna Yojana, as long as she meets the required criteria. In this case, the income of her husband will also be taken into account.
Who is eligible?
– Females aged 21-60, residents of MP
– Family income less than Rs 2.5 lakh per year
– No four-wheeler owned by the family
– Family must own less than 5 acres of land
– Aadhaar and Bank Account required
How to apply?
You can apply at the Anchal Mandi camp or visit cmladlibahna.mp.gov.in. The state organizes enrollment camps on a regular basis. Initially, Rs 1,000 per month was given under this scheme, which was later increased to Rs 1,250 and then to Rs 1,500 per month from November 2025. The government has allocated a huge budget of Rs 23,882.81 crore for this scheme for the financial year 2026-27.
