In addition to donkeys, the central government will also provide funding for horse and camel breeding. Under the NLM scheme, the government will provide up to 50 per cent subsidy on donkey and camel breeding. This means that if the government spends ₹1 crore on the upkeep of these animals, the government will provide a 50per centt subsidy, or ₹50 lakh.

To benefit from this government scheme, you will need to raise 50 female and 5 male donkeys. For this, you can receive a 50% capital subsidy, or up to ₹50 lakh. You will also receive this money for raising indigenous donkeys.

The government will pay this amount in two instalments. The first instalment will be paid upon completion of the bank loan. The second instalment will be received upon completion of the project.
