New Delhi: The government is deeply concerned about the declining number of donkeys across the country. This is because people are reluctant to raise them, and the government is taking a major step to address this. The government will now provide significant relief to donkey breeders. The government aims to conserve and promote donkey breeding.

The central government is providing up to ₹50 lakh for donkey breeding under the National Livestock Mission. Furthermore, if any state government is working on donkey conservation, the central government will also assist. The government will provide substantial funding similar to the NLM scheme. For which lives will the government provide funds?

In addition to donkeys, the central government will also provide funding for horse and camel breeding. Under the NLM scheme, the government will provide up to 50 per cent subsidy on donkey and camel breeding. This means that if the government spends ₹1 crore on the upkeep of these animals, the government will provide a 50per centt subsidy, or ₹50 lakh.

To benefit from this government scheme, you will need to raise 50 female and 5 male donkeys. For this, you can receive a 50% capital subsidy, or up to ₹50 lakh. You will also receive this money for raising indigenous donkeys.

The government will pay this amount in two instalments. The first instalment will be paid upon completion of the bank loan. The second instalment will be received upon completion of the project.

The funds will be transferred to your account once the application verification is complete. Therefore, if you wish to raise donkeys, you can apply after learning the necessary information.
