FASTag Annual Pass Activation: How to Activate Annual Fastag Pass, Know The Process Here

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched a major facility for private vehicle owners across the country on August 15, 2025. The organization has launched a FASTag Annual Pass of Rs 3000, which will be available for non-commercial vehicles like cars, jeeps, and vans. Its purpose is to relieve the passengers from the time spent at the toll and make the journey easier.

FASTag Annual Pass Activation

This annual pass will be valid for one year or 200 toll trips, whichever condition is met first. That is, vehicle owners will be able to travel easily on the national highway without making repeated payments.

How to activate the pass

To activate the FASTag Annual Pass, the vehicle owner must first visit the Rajmarg Yatra mobile app or the official website of NHAI. After this, it is necessary to log in with a mobile number or vehicle registration number. FASTag should be installed correctly on the vehicle, and it should be active. After filling in the information, the vehicle details and FASTag ID have to be entered. In some cases, RC, identity card, address proof, and passport-size photo may also have to be uploaded.

Payment process

It is necessary to pay Rs 3000 for activation. This payment can be made only through UPI, net banking, debit card, or credit card. Keep in mind that payment is not possible from the FASTag wallet balance. After payment, a message of activation message is received. Usually, the pass gets activated in 2 hours, although it can also take up to 24 hours.

Within just five days of launch, the enthusiasm of people was seen across the country regarding this annual pass. According to the data, so far, more than 6.50 lakh vehicle owners have become a part of this scheme. At the same time, the number of vehicles with FASTag passing through the toll plaza has also increased rapidly. In just five days, around 10.50 lakh vehicles have travelled on the highway.
