EPFO Update – The government provides many facilities for PF employees. To protect employees from any problems, EPFO is continuing to digitise its accounts. Now, a digitalised system for checking balances has been created. Furthermore, PF employees will also have the facility to withdraw cash from ATMs.
This facility may be launched in January. If EPFO implements the ATM cash withdrawal facility, it will be a significant convenience for PF employees. Approximately 8 crore employees will benefit from it. No official announcement has yet been made on the date for the ATM cash withdrawal.

When could the facility begin?
The ATM cash withdrawal facility may be launched in the last week of January. This decision may be approved in the EPFO Board of Trustees meeting. UPI facility may also be introduced. If ATM and UPI facilities are implemented, the new year will bring new joy to PF employees.
All the problems of PF employees will be resolved. Currently, it takes 10 to 15 minutes for a PF claim to be approved. But now it won’t take that long. You can withdraw your PF funds immediately if needed.

How to Check PF Balance
You can easily check your PF balance with a missed call.
You need to give a missed call to 9966044425 from your registered mobile number.
You will then immediately receive an SMS containing your balance and last contribution information.
Check Balance via SMS
First, send an SMS from your registered mobile number to 7738299899.
Then, enter EPFOHO UAN in the SMS (e.g., EPFOHO UAN HIN for Hindi).
You will receive your balance information via SMS.
The Government Pays Annual Interest
The Central Government provides PF funds to PF members every year. Last year, it paid 8.25% interest. Discussions have already begun regarding interest payments this time as well. The interest amount may be announced soon.
