According to an official statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), this increase in dearness allowance and relief will be effective from July 1, 2025. This increased amount will be paid in November, along with the employees’ October salaries. This means that the arrears from July to October are also likely to be paid along with this.

This significant decision will not only apply to state government employees, but will also directly benefit employees and pensioners of local bodies and state public sector undertakings. Bumper Gifts Before Diwali in Other States

In Uttar Pradesh (UP), Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a DA increase on October 17, increasing the dearness allowance from 55% to 58%. Chief Minister Yogi said that this decision will bring satisfaction, security, and prosperity to the lives of employees and pensioners.

On October 16th, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi also announced a 3% DA hike, taking the DA there from 55% to 58%. The Karnataka government increased its DA by 2% to 14.25% on October 15th. Several other states, including Gujarat, Bihar, Jharkhand, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh, have also announced bonuses and DA hikes for their employees.
