DA Hike- Govt Hikes DA by 5%,14,000 Employees to Benefit Big

Da Hike

DA Hike: Big news for employees. The Yogi government has made a significant move for the regular employees of the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. They’ve bumped up the dearness allowance by five percent. Now, employees will receive a dearness allowance that amounts to 55 percent of their basic salary. This change will benefit around 14,000 regular officers and employees of the Transport Corporation.

Archana Agarwal, the Additional Chief Secretary for Transport, has put out an order to increase the dearness allowance by five percent. The green light has been given for a 55 percent dearness allowance installment under the 7th Pay Commission for full-time employees of the corporation, starting from January 1, 2026. The Empowered Committee, which was set up to look into the dearness allowance hike, has given its approval for this increase. As of now, there won’t be any arrears.

The UP government is set to provide financial support in the future. The corporation plans to bring the matter back to the Empowered Committee via the Administrative Department to get the go-ahead for the increased dearness allowance installments. The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation will handle the financial responsibility of paying the increased dearness allowance from its own funds. The state government won’t be providing any financial aid. For the time being, this decision has offered considerable relief to the employees of the Transport Corporation.

On another note, workers will now receive salaries that include a variable dearness allowance. The government has also raised the minimum wage rate, and a notification has been released regarding this. Diptiman Bhatt, the Deputy Labor Commissioner in Moradabad, mentioned that the minimum wage for workers has been set with a variable dearness allowance. For unskilled workers, the minimum wage is now set at Rs 12,241, which includes Rs 765 as a variable dearness allowance.

This brings the total minimum wage to Rs 13,008. For semi-skilled workers, the minimum wage has been established at Rs 13,464, with an additional Rs 842 as a variable allowance, making the total minimum wage Rs 14,306. The minimum wage for skilled workers has now been fixed at Rs 15,082, with Rs 943 as a variable dearness allowance. The total monthly minimum wage for workers in this category will now be Rs 16,025.
