In the national capital, New Delhi, the price of petrol stands at ₹102.12 per litre, while diesel is trending at ₹95.20 per litre. In Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, petrol is priced at ₹113.51 per litre, and diesel is trending at ₹99.82 per litre.
In Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, petrol is priced at ₹112.21 per litre, while diesel stands at ₹97.83 per litre. In Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, petrol is priced at ₹108.01 per litre, and diesel is trending at ₹99.66 per litre.
In Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, petrol is priced at ₹115.73 per litre and diesel at ₹103.82 per litre. In Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, petrol is priced at ₹110.89 per litre, while diesel stands at ₹98.80 per litre.
Crude oil prices rise globally.
Crude oil prices have surged in the international market today. This follows Iran firing multiple rounds of missiles towards Israel. This has made the situation in the Middle East precarious and raised fears that the ceasefire could collapse.
The price of Brent crude rose by 3.6 per cent, reaching $96.47 per barrel. Meanwhile, the US benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) neared the $94 mark.

Currently, the price of petrol in Delhi is ₹102.12 per litre, and diesel is ₹95.20 per litre. State-owned oil companies are incurring daily losses ranging from ₹1,600 crore to ₹1,700 crore. In just 10 weeks, this loss has crossed the ₹1 lakh crore mark. In many cities across the country, the price of petrol is nearing ₹114 per litre. Significant variations in fuel prices are also being observed across different states.
