Amrit Bharat Express Update: Howrah–Delhi Train to Stop at These Stations in Bihar & Jharkhand

Amrit Bharat Express: Indian Railways has made a big announcement for passengers traveling between Howrah and Delhi’s Anand Vihar Terminal. The modern Amrit Bharat Express (train numbers 13065/13066) is set to start regular service on January 22, 2026.

The latest news about this train is that it will take a route through Dhanbad, Nesub Gomoh, and Koderma in Jharkhand, Gaya in Bihar, and Deendayal Upadhyaya Junction in Uttar Pradesh. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the train on January 18, and now it will operate regularly on its planned route.

Howrah to Anand Vihar (13065): This train will begin its regular service on January 22, 2026, departing from Howrah every Thursday.

Anand Vihar to Howrah (13066): On the return trip, this train will leave Anand Vihar every Saturday starting January 24, 2026.

Train schedules and routes

This train will cover its journey through Dhanbad, Gaya, and DDU.

Howrah-Anand Vihar (13065): The train will depart from Howrah at 23:10 hrs on Thursday and will arrive at Anand Vihar at 02:50 hrs on Saturday, passing through Dhanbad (04:00), Gaya (07:25), and DDU (10:45) on Friday.

Anand Vihar – Howrah (13066): For the return trip, it will leave Anand Vihar at 05:15 am on Saturday, reach DDU at 22:40 that night, and Gaya at 01:45 am on Sunday. It will finally arrive in Howrah at 10:50 am on Sunday.

Coaches and facilities

The Amrit Bharat Express will consist of 20 coaches, designed with the comfort of regular passengers in mind. This includes 10 General Class coaches, 7 Sleeper Class coaches, one pantry car, and two SLR coaches for food and beverages.
