With this new feature, individuals no longer need to visit an Aadhaar service center. You can update your Aadhaar linked mobile number from the comfort of your own home. Just follow the steps outlined below.

1. Open the Aadhaar app on your mobile device.
2. Log in using Aadhaar-based authentication.
3. Click on the Services tab located on the homepage.
4. You will find the option to Update Mobile Number; click on it.
5. The app will display the currently registered mobile number.
6. Enter the new mobile number you wish to link.
7. An OTP will be sent to the new mobile number.
8. Verify it by entering the OTP.
9. After this, you will need to complete the authentication process.
10. Once the OTP is verified, your update request will be forwarded to UIDAI.

Will there be a fee for this?

It’s worth noting that updating your mobile number or address through the app incurs a small fee of Rs 75. Changes made through the app typically take 10 to 15 days, or sometimes up to a month, to be updated in your Aadhaar record.
