UIDAI is currently offering free online document updates. Please note that this free service is only available until June 14th. If you update after this date, you will be charged a fee.

10 years is a long time, as your address or other identifying details may change. Keeping your Aadhaar data updated will provide you with the following benefits:

How to update from home?
You don’t need to rush anywhere, you can follow these steps from your mobile or laptop:
Visit the website: Visit the official website of UIDAI (myAadhaar).
Login: Login using your Aadhaar number and OTP received on your registered mobile number.
Select Document Update: Click on the ‘Document Update’ option.
Verification: Check your current information (name, address, date of birth). If everything is correct, proceed.
Document Upload: Upload your Proof of Identity (POI) and Proof of Address (POA). You can use your Voter ID, PAN card, or Ration Card.
Tracking: After submission, you will get a Service Request Number (SRN) through which you can check the status.
Please pay close attention to the following details:
Matching information: Ensure that the name on your uploaded documents matches exactly with the name on your Aadhaar card.
File format: The images of your documents should be clear. Only upload files in JPEG, PNG, or PDF format (and keep the size below 2MB). Keep in mind that the “free” service is only available through the online portal. If you visit an Aadhaar center to make updates, there may be a fee involved. Don’t delay until the deadline! Update your Aadhaar today to prevent any future issues with banking or government services due to server overload.
