In the design of the TVS Jupiter CNG, the company has neatly placed the CNG tank under the seat to maintain a compact look. However, the tank will slightly reduce boot space. This scooter will be equipped with a 1.4 kg CNG tank, which will provide a range of approximately 84 km on 1 kg of CNG. Its total range is estimated to be 226 km with both petrol and CNG.

Biofuel technology will provide a dual fuel option

TVS has used biofuel technology in this scooter, allowing it to run on both petrol and CNG. The small 2-liter petrol tank is mounted in the floorboard, allowing the driver to easily switch to petrol when needed. This feature not only makes the scooter more convenient but also reliable for long-distance travel.

Engine, Performance, and Features

The Jupiter CNG will be powered by a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 7.1 bhp and 9.4 Nm of torque. Its top speed is claimed to be 80 km/h. It features separate nozzles for both petrol and CNG—one under the seat for CNG and one on the front apron for petrol. Design-wise, it will remain similar to the standard Jupiter, but will feature exclusive CNG badging and new color options. The company also plans to include modern features such as a digital meter, LED headlight, and a USB charging port.
