The hybrid CNG

A hybrid version of being capable of running on more than one kind of energy source, from comparatively high-end cars to more affordable vehicles, also holds a good record in the lower segment. The ARAI figures for the Toyota Hyryder CNG say it has a 1462 cc 4-cylinder engine, which has a claimed mileage of 26.6 km/kg, an astonishing figure that could be called a proper friend to long-distance operators. On the other hand,

Tata Nexon CNG launched in India at Rs. 8.99 lakh - CarWaleThe Tata Nexon iCNG has a 1199 cc 3-cylinder turbo engine that is constantly claiming mileage around 17.44 km/kg. With Tata’s iCNG tech being able to maintain the excitement of a turbocharged engine that gives higher torque (170 Nm) and performance, the Nexon all the more becomes fun for overtaking in traffic and city driving. Now, the four-cylinder engine in Toyota may be smooth, but Nexon’s three-cylinder engine does vibrate slightly.

Design, Features, and Safety

The Hyryder is a bigger SUV with a longer wheelbase of 2600 mm compared with the Nexon, which measures 2498 mm, therefore lending more interior space. Nevertheless, the Nexon’s ground clearance of 208 mm, which is better than the Hyryder’s, would help in traversing even the rugged roads. The Nexon packs in a lot more features, such as 6 airbags and a 360-degree camera, versus that of the base variant of the Hyryder S CNG, which gets 2 airbags. Further, including the CNG kit, the boot space for the Hyryder is better at 373 litres versus 321 litres for the Nexon.

But, with good fuel efficiency comes better safety ratings, higher ground clearance, and turbocharged performance-the Tata Nexon iCNG appears to be a better all-rounder with a package filled with features to tackle any tests thrown at it by the Indian roads.
