Nissan Magnite AMT CNG : With the long-awaited compact SUV, the Nissan Magnite, now getting an update with some new refreshing changes, the sale of AMT CNG variants has begun. The older manual variants had options for CNG fitment and were hot among customers. The company, in correspondence with customer demand, has now extended this option to the AMTs too.

The new changes comprise CNG refueling through an altogether new and redesigned fuel system that allows refilling at the CNG fuel filler on the fuel lid and not through the engine bay. Most drivers found this to be one extra hand to relieve them of opening the hood in showrooms to refill fuel.

This CNG retrofit kit was developed in collaboration with Motozen Fuel Systems and has been thoroughly tested and certified by Government authorities. The company has further assured its customers of the kit’s reliable performance with a year or 100,000 km of warranty.

Nissan Magnite AMT With CNG Option Launched In IndiaInterestingly, recent government changes have brought down the GST on CNG kits from 28% to 18%, which has been directly passed on to the customers by Nissan. With a price tag of ₹71,999 for the kit, this became a free value addition and an increased convenience for the customers.

Therefore, this retrofit kit will be available from Nissan-authorized CNG centers across the country starting September 22, 2025. For the launch, the kit was made available in 13 states, including Delhi-NCR, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. This kit for CNG conversion will be available only for the 1.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine and can be fitted to both manual and AMT transmissions.

Among the tough cars on safety ratings by Nissan, the Magnite comes with standard six airbags rated five stars by the Global NCAP. It also offers a 10-year extended warranty program for its class, the first time in the industry.
