Next-Gen Kia Seltos: Kia Motors has finally announced the launch date of its Next-Gen Kia Seltos. The company is going to introduce this global model on 10 December 2025 in South Korea. This SUV is believed to be the beginning of a new era in Kia’s lineup, as it has more styling, advanced features and upgraded engine options than before.
You may know that the first generation of Seltos had achieved tremendous success in India, and now Kia is preparing to take the same success to the next level. The Indian version of the 2026 Kia Seltos may launch in the first quarter of 2026, which will give a tough competition to trains such as Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara and Tata Curvv in the mid-size SUV segment.

New Design
Design of the new Kia Seltos 2026 will be completely new and more muscular. The design is inspired by the company’s flagship SUV Telluride. The new model will bring more buxy and rugged profiles than before, giving it a sporty and powerful SUV-like feel.
The same front is given a wider grill, square-shaped LED headlamps and orange DRLs, giving it a premium and bold look. Side profiles will feature thick wheel cladding and sharp body lines, making the SUV look even more solid.
It has been given shark fin antenna with redesigned tailgate, LED tail-lights like Telluride, and roof-integrated spoiler on the back, giving it a modern sporty look.
Interior
Talking about the interior, Kia has made a big change in the interior of the new generation Seltos. Its cabin layout is now more premium and high-tech than ever before. In terms of design, this SUV will now be inspired by large trains like Kia Carnival and EV9.
Its interior will receive a large connected display setup, which will include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. In addition, this SUV with 5-inch climate control display, dual-zone climate control, and soft-touch materials will look more classy than ever.
Features
Talking about features, high-end facilities like panoramic sunroof, powered driver seat, ventilated seats, front parking sensors, and LEVEL 2 ADAS technology will be provided in it. Along with this, features like ambient lighting, wireless charger, and premium sound system will also give it a distinct identity in the segment.
Engine Options
In the new Kia Seltos 2026, the company is offering several engine options so that different customer needs can be met. It is expected that this SUV will come with three traditional engine options.
- 1.5L Naturally Aspirated Petrol Engine
- 1.5L Turbo Petrol Engine
- 1.5L Turbo Diesel Engine
With all these engines both manual and automatic transmission options will be found. But most interestingly, the company also plans to bring a new Hybrid powertrain, which will have an electric motor connected with the 1.5L NA Petrol Engine. This variant will be more fuel-efficient and eco-friendly, attracting customers who prefer green technology.

Launch date and price
Now talk about its launch, as the company has confirmed, Next-Gen Kia Seltos’ global debut will be in Korea on 10 December 2025. It will be launched in early 2026 in the Indian market.
Talking about the price, the price of the 2026 Kia Seltos is expected to be slightly higher than the current model. At the moment the initial price of the Indian version can be around ₹11 lakh to ₹21 lakhs (ex-showroom).
