Maruti Suzuki VICTORIS Achieves 5-Star Safety Rating for Adults & Children in Global NCAP Tests

Its recently launched new SUV, the VICTORIS, has achieved a 5-star rating in both adult and child occupant safety categories in crash tests conducted by Global NCAP. This success is a major achievement for the company, especially after the Dzire, which is its second car to receive a 5-star rating under Global NCAP’s new and stricter protocols.

Crash Test Results

According to the crash test report, the Maruti Suzuki VICTORIS’s structure and footwell area were found to be completely stable, capable of withstanding additional loads. This SUV comes standard with six airbags, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), and pedestrian protection. ADAS technology is also available as an option.

In all crash tests, the vehicle provided adequate protection for adult passengers in all body areas. Complete head protection was also observed in the side impact and pole tests. In terms of child occupant safety, dummies of children aged 18 months and three years were found to be completely safe in child seats with ISOFIX anchorages and leg support.

Price and Variants

Maruti Suzuki has also announced the price of this powerful SUV. The VICTORIS’s ex-showroom price starts at ₹10,49,900 and goes up to ₹19,98,900. Its CNG variants are priced from ₹11,49,900 and go up to ₹14,56,900. The car will be available in a total of 21 different variants. It’s worth noting that before receiving a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP, it has also received a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP. Sales of this impressive SUV will begin on September 22nd, and it has been receiving an overwhelming response from customers since its launch.
