Tata Punch EV vs Citroen eC3 : Electric vehicle segment maturing well in India; idealistic now for budget range powered vehicles. Tata, who’s already riding high in EV market leading the race, has launched Punch EV. Next, we have Citroen that launched its entry-level electric hatch eC3. Both of which are great choices for hand-elites for budgeting on EVs; now the question pops up which one suites your needs best.
Design and Looks
The Tata Punch EV has that SUV-like design. It gets an EV-specific closed grille, LED headlights and futuristic touch. The Citroen eC3, in contrast to its hatchback configuration, has funky looks and a fairly unique front. If you want that SUV-like stance then Punch EV will be more appealing, but for a compact youth-friendly look, eC3 will be a good option.

Battery and Range
The Tata Punch EV is introduced in two battery sizes: a 25-kWh and a 35-kWh. The car with the smaller battery ranges about 315 km while the bigger battery version goes up to about 421 km.
Its rival Citroen eC3, however, can boast of an only 29.2-kWh battery pack that has a range of about 320 km. Hence, the Punch EV, as a long-distance version, surpasses the field in range.
Performance
The turbo punch that comes along with Punch EV comes with greater horsepower for instantaneous acceleration and smooth travel. The eC3 is a motor of ordinary power, enough for city dwellings. The thrill of driving on the highway will be higher with Punch EV.
Features
You get the option of digital console, 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay, 6 airbags and fast charging in Punch EV.
The very basic Citroen eC3 features include 10-inch touchscreen, wireless connectivity; dual airbags too. Here again, Punch EV excels in technology and safety.

Price
Citroen eC3 starts as esoteric between ₹ 11.6 lakh and ₹ 13 lakh. Ex-showroom prices for Punch EV range between ₹ 10.99 lakh to ₹ 15 lakh. Which means if your budget is tight the eC3 will be cheaper, but the Punch EV gives much more value for slightly higher cost.
Result
The Citroen eC3 is good for just city driving and a budget budging EV. For value, power, features and longer range, the Tata Punch EV is the best choice for you.
