Mahindra XUV400 Gets Cheaper by ₹2.50 Lakh: Know the Details

A fierce competition has begun in the electric SUV segment. While the Tata Nexon EV dominates the market with its impressive sales and reliable performance, Mahindra has now also played its cards. In fact, the company has announced a significant discount of up to ₹2.50 lakh on its XUV400 EV. With this move, Mahindra has made it clear that it is fully prepared to give the Tata Nexon EV a direct competition.

You may know that Mahindra’s XUV400 was launched in January 2023. This SUV is based on the XUV300 platform, but is fully electric. Initially it was considered the biggest rival of the Tata Nexon EV, with Nexon EV quickly overtaking the XUV400 in terms of mugger features and demand.

But now Mahindra is determined to change the situation. The company has discounted up to ₹2.50 lakhs on its EL Pro and EL Pro FC variants. At the same time, up to ₹1.25 lakhs can be saved on purchasing EC Pro variants.

Currently XUV400 is priced between ₹16.59 lakhs to ₹18.89 lakhs. That is, after the discount, its top model will now be available at a much lower price than Nexon EV. Think, when a strong Mahindra SUV is found with such a discount, why wouldn’t anyone want to buy

Tata Nexon EV challenges

While Nexon EV is known for its range and features, Mahindra XUV400 outperforms the performance. It has two battery pack options — 34.5 kWh and 39.4 kWh. Both packs generate 148 bhp power and 310 Nm of torque, making it a fairly punky SUV.

Features

The Mahindra XUV400, in terms of features, lags slightly behind the Tata Nexon EV. The new generation of Nexon EV seems more modern, futuristic and premium. However it features 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment systems, 10.25-inch digital instrument clusters, Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electric sunroof, wireless smartphone charger, and auto-dimming IRVM.
