Mahindra has started gaining a strong hold in the Indian EV market with the BE 6 and XUV 9e. These two electric cars, which have given a great growth to the company’s sales, have got more than 30 thousand customers last month. Let’s know about these two electric SUVs.

Bumper demand for BE 6 and XEV 9e

Both these SUVs of Mahindra, which made a strong start in the EV segment, got 30,179 bookings in just one day. Mahindra has said that now more than 3,000 units of these have been delivered within a month. There is still time for the delivery of entry-level Pack One and Pack One Above trims, which will start in August 2025.

This great EV gets advanced features like two-spoke steering wheel with controls for infotainment screen, head-up display, 360-degree camera, USB-C charging port, ambient lighting, 7 airbags standard, driver alertness system, level 2 ADAS and blind spot monitoring.

Features of Mahindra BE 6

Its cabin gets automatic climate control with two-spoke steering wheel, head-up display, 360 degree camera, standard 7 airbags, driver alertness system, level 2 ADAS with radar and multiple cameras. The special thing is that it has been given a fighter-jet inspired interior.

Battery and range

Both BE 6 and XEV 9e, Electric SUVs are being sold in two battery pack options. The first is 59 kWh and the second is a 79 kWh pack. Its larger battery pack will be available only in the top-end Pack Three variants of both electric SUVs. All other variants can be purchased with a 59 kWh battery pack.

Mahindra claims that the BE 6 will give a range of 535 km with a smaller battery pack and 682 km with a larger battery pack. At the same time, the claimed range of the smaller and larger battery packs of the XEV 9e is 542 Km and 656 Km respectively. They can be charged from 20 percent to 80 percent in just 20 minutes with the help of a fast charger.

Price

The price of the base variant Pack One of the XEV 9e range starts at Rs 21.90 lakh and goes up to Rs 30.50 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec Pack Three variant. At the same time, the price of the base variant Pack One of the BE 6 starts at Rs 18.90 lakh and goes up to Rs 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec Pack Three variant.
