The company unveiled a robust roadmap for the next five years during its Investor Day. Under this plan, Hyundai plans to launch 26 new models in India between FY2025 and FY2030. Technology

Hyundai is now preparing to rapidly expand its hybrid portfolio in India. The company has clarified that eight new Hybrid Models will be launched by FY2030. This move could prove to be a turning point for Hyundai, as the brand is seeing hybrids as “bridge technology ” between conventional engines and fully electric technology.

There is a possibility that Hybrid versions of popular models such as Venue, Creta and Tucson will also be seen in the coming years. The move will not only strengthen the company’s product range, but will also attract customers who want to shift to electric but are currently looking for a middle ground.

Powertrain

Petrol and diesel vehicles currently account for 76% of Hyundai’s Indian lineup as of FY2025. At the same time, CNG models account for about 19% and Eco-Friendly Vehicles’ share is just close to 5%.

But Hyundai’s goal is extremely ambitious. The company plans to increase Eco-Friendly Powertrain by 47% by FY2030. This means that electric and hybrid vehicles will now become almost equal to petrol and diesel models, while the share of CNG variants will be reduced to around 6%.

Models

This growth phase of Hyundai will start slowly. In FY2026 the company will introduce four new models, including a Full Model Change, a Derivative and two Facelifts. This will be followed by eight new launches in FY2027 and FY2028, including two new Nameplates, three Full Model Changes, two Derivatives and a Facelift.
