Hyundai Upcoming SUVs 2026 – Big Comeback with 2 ICE and 2 EVs

Hyundai Upcoming SUVs 2026 – Indian SUV market has become more competitive today than ever before. Domestic companies are increasingly launching new models and electric alternatives. Hyundai is also not going to stay behind in such an environment.

The company is preparing to bring four new SUVs to strengthen its grip in 2026 which will include 2 petrol (ICE) and 2 electric (EV) models. So let’s understand what Hyundai is going to bang in the coming months.

Hyundai Compact EV

Hyundai’s first fully localized small electric SUV is being designed specifically for India. Its design and packaging may be inspired by the Inster EV sold in the overseas market.

This model will be offered as an economical and zero-emission option, especially for cities. It will directly compete with the Tata Punch EV and the recently launched Mahindra XUV 3XO EV.

Two battery options are expected. The larger battery pack can give a range of more than 350 kilometers in actual driving. The launch may take place later this year or early 2027.

New Hyundai Bayon

Hyundai is also preparing to bring a new compact crossover, which will be based on Global Bayon. This SUV may knock in the Indian market by the end of 2026.

It is likely to get a new 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine. Also some powertrain options can be shared with the updated Hyundai Venue.

Bayon can get positioning between Venue and Creta. The design will be modern and sharp, so as to attract younger customers. Hyundai can target customers from this model who want a compact SUV but with a slightly different identity.

Updated Hyundai Exter

Hyundai Exter is not too old yet, but its mid-life update is likely to come in 2026. This update will mainly add styling changes and new features.

Small changes to the exterior design, new alloy wheels and updated grills can be seen. New connected features and improved technology can be found on the inside.

However, major mechanical changes to the engine and gearbox are not expected. The company can continue the existing setup, as it is already popular among customers.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift

Hyundai’s identity in the premium electric segment is linked to Hyundai Ioniq 5. Now its facelift version is ready to come to India.

The global model has received minor design changes, including new bumpers, an updated grille, and new alloy wheels. Similar changes are expected in India.

User-friendly layout is emphasized in the interior. Now more physical buttons have been given, so that control is easier during driving. The new three-spoke steering wheel has also been added.
