How much discount will be available
According to the information, after the implementation of the new EV policy, the first 10 thousand women will be given a maximum discount of up to ₹ 36 thousand on purchasing EVs by the state government. This benefit will be for the first 10 thousand women and a discount of ₹ 12,000 per kilowatt hour will be given, which will be up to a maximum of ₹ 36,000. According to this, women will get a maximum discount on buying electric scooters with batteries up to 3 kWh.
Incentives will also be given for scrapping old vehicles
According to reports, incentives will also be given to those who will scrap their old vehicles in the new policy of Delhi government. An additional incentive amount of up to ₹ 10,000 will be given by the government on scrapping the old vehicle. Along with this, a subsidy of up to ₹ 30,000 can be given by the government at the rate of ₹ 10,000 per kWh on purchasing new electric vehicles.
When will the new policy be implemented
The state government may soon implement the new EV policy. At present, this policy is proposed. It will be implemented after getting approval from the House. According to the information, this policy will be in force till March 31, 2030. This new Delhi electric policy will totally include many incentives for the two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and the commercial vehicles.
