Kawasaki Versys-X 300: If you’re looking for a powerful bike that not only has a sporty look but is also great for long-distance travel, then this news is for you. Japanese bike manufacturer Kawasaki has updated its popular adventure-tourer bike, the Versys-X 300, for the 2026 model year. This updated model has been launched in the Indian market at a starting price of ₹3.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2026 Versys-X 300 has been introduced without any major mechanical changes, but it will now be available in a new, exciting color option.

Powerful Engine and Performance

At the heart of the new 2026 Kawasaki Versys-X 300 is the same familiar 296cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. This engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. This engine produces a robust 39 hp of power and 26 Nm of peak torque. Being a parallel-twin engine, it remains extremely smooth and vibration-free even at high speeds, making long-distance journeys comfortable. The slipper clutch facilitates gear shifting and prevents the rear wheel from locking up when downshifting at high speeds.

Chassis and Suspension

The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 is built on a sturdy steel frame, giving it excellent balance on any terrain. To give the bike a true adventure feel, it features 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels (wire rims) shod with tube-type tires. This setup provides excellent grip and stability on rough terrain. Suspension is handled by a 41 mm telescopic fork (with 130 mm travel) at the front and a gas-charged Uni-Trac monoshock (with 148 mm travel) at the rear. Disc brakes are provided on both wheels for safe stopping.

Features and New Color

In terms of features, the 2026 Kawasaki Versys-X 300 comes with dual-channel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) for safety. A semi-digital instrument cluster displays all the necessary information for the rider. Kawasaki has limited the features on this bike and focused more on rideability.

In this new update, Kawasaki has added a new color theme to the Versys-X 300. The bike will now be available in a new Candy Lime Green/Metallic Flat Spark Black color option. This new shade will be sold alongside the existing Metallic Ocean Blue/Pearl Robotic White shade. Available as a CBU (Completely Built Unit), this bike is considered one of the best adventure tourers in its segment.
