Vastu Tips: In Hinduism, the Tulsi plant is considered very sacred and should not be planted in the home without permission. It should be planted according to the proper rules and Vastu Shastra. Along with caring for the Tulsi plant, its adequate direction and correct method are also significant.
But you should be especially careful about certain things that should not be kept near the Tulsi plant. Often, we unknowingly place such things near the Tulsi plant, creating Vastu defects. So, let’s explore what should not be kept near the Tulsi plant.
Shivling
According to Vastu Shastra, a Shivling should never be placed near the Tulsi plant. Doing so can cause Vastu defects and bring negativity into the home. According to beliefs, Lord Shiva killed Tulsi’s husband. Tulsi was then in the form of Vrinda.
Vrinda later took the form of Tulsi. This is why Tulsi and Shivling are not worshipped together. On the other hand, Tulsi is considered a form of Goddess Lakshmi and is also the wife of Lord Vishnu. Therefore, Tulsi and Shivling should never be kept together.
Broom
People often plant Tulsi on their balconies or terraces. Sometimes, when cleaning, they also place a broom there. While a broom cleans the house of dirt, it is considered inappropriate to keep it near Tulsi.
According to scriptures, doing so can violate the sanctity of Tulsi, and therefore, a broom should never be placed near Tulsi. Doing so can directly impact your financial situation. Gradually, poverty may enter your home, and economic problems may arise.
Shoes and Slippers
Tulsi is considered the abode of Goddess Lakshmi; therefore, it is essential to keep its surroundings clean at all times. Tulsi should never be placed in a place where there is dirt. It should also be noted that shoes and slippers should not be kept near the Tulsi plant. If there is dirt around Tulsi, Goddess Lakshmi may get disappointed.
