Utpanna Ekadashi 2025: The fast of Utpanna Ekadashi is considered highly auspicious. Lord Vishnu is worshipped with rituals on Utpanna Ekadashi. According to belief, Ekadashi Mata was born on this day and killed the demon Rakshasa Mura, bringing relief to all three worlds. Utpanna Ekadashi has been celebrated ever since.

Water mixed with milk
On Utpanna Ekadashi, after bathing in the morning, the Shivalinga should be anointed with water mixed with milk.
Offer Bilva Leaves
After the anointment, offer 11 or 21 Bilva leaves while chanting the mantra Om Namah Shivaya. Additionally, writing Om on the Bilva leaf with sandalwood paste or Ashtagandh is considered even more auspicious. Doing so also alleviates financial hardship.

According to the scriptures, offering black sesame seeds to the Shivalinga is considered very auspicious. Offering black sesame seeds mixed with water to the Shivalinga on Utpanna Ekadashi eliminates financial problems.
Pure Ghee
If you also want to gain respect and fame, be sure to offer pure cow ghee to the Shivalinga on Utpanna Ekadashi. Applying sandalwood paste after offering it also increases fame.
How to Worship on Utpanna Ekadashi
- On Utpanna Ekadashi, one should wake up early in the morning and take a bath.
- After this, one should worship Lord Vishnu and visit a Shiva temple.
- The Shivalinga should first be anointed with water and milk.
- After that, the items mentioned above should be offered with devotion, one by one.
- Later, a ghee lamp should be lit and aarti should be performed, chanting Vedic mantras of Lord Shiva.
