New Delhi: A man from Jammu and Kashmir was arrested by the police for offering prayers in the Ram Temple complex. During this time, he also chanted slogans for a particular community. The police and intelligence agencies are interrogating the arrested man to determine his motives. The man offering prayers is a resident of Gadapora village in the Shopian district of Kashmir.

The incident, which occurred when he started offering prayers after reaching the Ram Temple complex, has become a subject of widespread discussion. The police also reached the man’s house, where they are conducting an investigation. His son has provided some important information to the police. The accused is reportedly 55 years old. Cashews and raisins were also recovered from the accused at the Ram Temple complex.

As soon as Abdul Ahmed Sheikh, a resident of Gadapora village in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir, was caught offering prayers and chanting slogans in the Ram Temple complex in Ayodhya, the news spread throughout the country. This was described as a security breach at the Ram Temple. The police force deployed at the Ram Temple took the man into custody and began questioning him.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir police reached Abdul Ahmed Sheikh’s house, where they received significant information. Abdul’s family, residents of Gadapora, seven kilometres from Shopian town, provided crucial details. The accused’s family members said that he had been missing for six days, but they had not yet informed the police.

According to the police, the matter is being investigated thoroughly. They are trying to determine how Abdul reached Ayodhya from Shopian. All points and facts are being gathered.

What did the accused’s son say?

Imran, the son of Abdul Sheikh of Gadapora, said that his father often behaves erratically. He sometimes disappears for weeks at a time. Previously, he had gone to mosques, temples, and gurdwaras in Jammu. This time, they didn’t know where he had gone. They learned that he had been caught in Ayodhya only when the police came to their house.

According to his son, he is mentally ill and takes medication for his condition. Sheikh’s neighbour, Mohammad Sarid, also told the police, “We only learned about the incident from you. He keeps bothering his family. Until now, he used to wander between Jammu and Kashmir, but we are also surprised how he reached Ayodhya.
