Like multiple young Indian cricketers, ahead of IPL 2026 season, son of Sachin 7, Arjun Tendulkar, also shifted his base. Now, in the ongoing SMAT 2025, he is playing for Goa. For them, he has done some incredible performance.

Arjun Tendulkar and Vasuki Kaushik bowled superbly as Goa defeated Chandigarh by a huge margin in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on Friday. Arjun took three wickets in four overs, leaving Chandigarh faltering at Eden Gardens. The 26-year-old Arjun swung the ball extensively in Kolkata and threatened the Chandigarh top order.

Arjun Tendulkar’s swinging ball got wickets

Arjun displayed a remarkable ability to bring the ball in against right-handed batsmen, resulting in two wickets. In his very first over of the match, he bowled Chandigarh captain Shivam Bhambri. Later, in the fourth over of the match, young Tendulkar had Arjun Azad out LBW. Arjun returned towards the end of the innings and took another wicket with a sharp yorker in the 16th over. Arjun bowled fast and full, and didn’t allow Jagjit Singh a chance to settle down at the crease. The ball went between his legs and hit the stumps.

Chasing a target of 174, Chandigarh were all out for just 121 runs in 19 overs. Arjun took the last catch of the match off Kaushik. It was truly remarkable that the two bowlers who had broken the back of Chandigarh’s batting combined to take the last wicket of the game. Arjun finished his spell with figures of 3 for 17 in 4 overs. He was one of three Goa bowlers to take three wickets in the match.

In addition to bowling, Arjun also opened the innings for Goa, scoring 14 runs off 9 balls. He was run out in the fourth over of the match.
