The Super League round of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 is underway. Mumbai defeated Haryana in the Super League Group B match on Sunday. In this match, Mumbai achieved the second-highest target in the tournament’s history. Jharkhand also achieved the highest target this season, scoring 236 runs against Punjab. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a blistering century in this match, while Sarfaraz Khan smashed 64 runs off 25 balls.

After losing to Hyderabad by 9 wickets in the Super League opener, Mumbai performed well against Haryana. However, their bowlers were thoroughly beaten while bowling first, and Haryana, batting first, scored 234 for 3 in 20 overs. Ankit Kumar scored 89, and Nishant Sindhu scored an unbeaten 63. Sairaj Patil took two wickets for Mumbai.
In reply, Mumbai got off to a brilliant start, with Yashasvi Jaiswal smashing 101 runs off 50 balls. He hit 16 fours and a six in this innings. The opening partnership of 53 runs came in 3.1 overs, and Ajinkya Rahane was dismissed for 21. Sarfaraz then came on to bat and supported Yashasvi.

Sarfaraz Khan scored 64 runs off 25 balls. He scored at a strike rate of over 250. He hit nine fours and three sixes. The two added 88 runs for the second wicket. Yashasvi held on until the 18th over, and Mumbai lost six wickets in no time. Finally, Atharva Ankolekar hit a six and a four to reach 100 runs off just two balls, leading the team to a four-wicket victory.
