Virandeep of Malaysia has created history in T20 International cricket. Virandeep has become the first player in the world to take 100 wickets and score 3000 runs in T20 International. Virandeep is also the first Malaysian and 30th player in the world to reach 100 T20I wickets.
Apart from this, he is also the 11th highest run scorer in T20I. This player playing for the Malaysian team also holds the record of winning the most Player of the Match titles in T20 International. Virandeep has so far won 22 Player of the Match titles in T20 International.
Malaysia’s Virandeep Singh achieved this feat during a match against Bahrain in the Mini SEA Men’s Twenty20 Cricket Tournament 2025. With his one wicket in the match, Virandeep reached 100 wickets in T20 Internationals. Virandeep has played 105 T20 International matches and scored 3083 runs, including one century and 22 half-centuries.
Who is Virandeep Singh?
Virandeep Singh was born on 23 March 1999. Virandeep currently plays for and captains the Malaysia cricket team. His elder brother, Pawandeep Singh, is also a Malaysian cricketer. He played for Malaysia in the 2017 ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament in May 2017. Prior to the Division 3 tournament, he was the captain of the national team for the 2016 Under-19 Asia Cup. In April 2018, he was named in Malaysia’s squad for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Four tournament held in Malaysia.

He was in Malaysia’s squad for the 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier tournament, and was the leading run-scorer for Malaysia in the tournament, with 165 runs in five matches. In October 2018, he was included in Malaysia’s squad in the Eastern sub-region group for the 2018β19 ICC World Twenty20 Asia Qualifier tournament.
