The first semi-final of the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 was played on November 21st in Doha between India ‘A’ and Bangladesh ‘A’. India lost in the Super Over. Batting first after losing the toss in Doha, Bangladesh ‘A’ managed to score 194 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Opening the innings, Habibur Rahman Sohan was the highest scorer, scoring 65 runs from 46 balls at a strike rate of 141.30. S.M. Meherob, batting at number six, contributed an unbeaten 48 runs from 18 balls at a strike rate of 266.66.

Chasing a target of 195 runs set by Bangladesh ‘A’, India ‘A’ team could only reach 194/6 in 20 overs. Opening the innings, Priyansh Arya contributed 44 runs in 23 balls at a strike rate of 191.30. Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 38 runs in 15 balls, captain Jitesh Sharma scored 33 runs in 23 balls, and Nehal Wadhera scored an unbeaten 32 runs in 29 balls.

After the match ended in a draw, the result was decided via a Super Over. India’s innings was opened by captain Jitesh Sharma and Ramandeep Singh. Meanwhile, Ripan Mondol bowled for the opposition. Mondol bowled Jitesh Sharma (0) on the very first ball of the over. Subsequently, Ashutosh Sharma (0) failed to make a significant impact, being caught by Jawad Abrar off the very first ball.

Chasing the 1-run target, Bangladesh opened the innings with Yasir Ali and Zeeshan Alam. India’s Suyash Sharma took over the bowling duties. The opposition’s start was also uneventful. Yasir Ali (0) was caught by Ramandeep Singh off the very first ball. Captain Akbar Ali came to the crease as the second batsman. Suyash Sharma’s next ball was a wide, sealing the victory for Bangladesh.
