PM Kisan Yojana: The dates for the Bihar Assembly elections have been announced. Elections will be held in two phases for all 243 seats in Bihar. The election results will be declared on November 14th. Just before the elections, the NDA’s manifesto made several major promises. This includes a major promise related to the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The manifesto states that if the NDA forms the government in Bihar, an additional amount of Rs 3,000 will be given to the state’s farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

Under this scheme, Bihar farmers will receive financial assistance of Rs 9,000 annually. Additionally, Rs 1 lakh crore will be invested in agricultural infrastructure to increase farmers’ income. The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is an ambitious scheme of the Government of India. This scheme was launched in 2019. Under this scheme, farmers are provided financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually.

The annual financial assistance of Rs 6,000 is sent to farmers’ accounts in three installments. Each installment consists of Rs 2,000 transferred to farmers’ bank accounts via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). A total of 21 installments of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana have been released so far. However, the 21st installment was transferred to the accounts of 2.7 million flood-affected farmers in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

Meanwhile, the Indian government may transfer the 21st installment of funds to the accounts of the remaining farmers in the country next November. This claim is being made in media reports. However, the government has not yet made any official announcement regarding the release of the installment funds.
