Mumbai Fire – 4 Dead, 10 Injured in Vashi High-Rise Blaze on Diwali Night

Mumbai fire: While Diwali was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country on October 20th, a massive fire broke out in a building in the Vashi area of ​​Mumbai, Maharashtra, late Monday night. Four people have reportedly died in the fire at the Raheja Residency Housing Society in Sector 14 of the MG Complex, while 10 others were injured. The incident occurred around 1 a.m., when most residents were asleep after celebrating Diwali.

According to reports, the fire initially broke out on the 10th floor of the building and within minutes, spread to the 11th and 12th floors. The intense flames and smoke created panic throughout the building. People cried for help from windows and balconies. The fire department was immediately alerted, and several fire brigade vehicles arrived at the scene and began rescue operations.

According to Assistant Police Commissioner Adinath Budhwant, the exact cause of the fire is currently unknown. However, preliminary investigations suggest a short circuit. Police and fire department officials are at the scene and investigating the incident. It is worth noting that this was the second major fire incident in Navi Mumbai on Diwali.
