New Delhi: Police have initiated action in the case of the swing ride collapse at the Surajkund Mela in Faridabad. Two accused have been arrested in connection with the incident, and a case has been registered against the company.
The incident, which occurred on February 7, resulted in the death of a Haryana Police sub-inspector. The government has declared the sub-inspector a martyr and announced a compensation of one crore rupees to his family.

Police have arrested the owner of the company that installed the swing ride and another person. The owner of “Himachal Care Fun Care” is Mohammed Shakir, against whom the police have taken strict action. He is a resident of Toka Nangla village in Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh.

He is also reportedly the owner of the collapsed swing ride, and his name is included in the FIR. Police have also arrested another accused, Nitesh, a resident of Dharmapuri, Sadar, Meerut Cantt, Uttar Pradesh. The role of other individuals is still under investigation. A case has been registered under the section of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
