Monsoon Update: The weather is changing rapidly in different parts of the country. High temperatures are being recorded during the day due to strong sunshine. According to the Meteorological Department, a new Western Disturbance is expected to become active from Sunday night, potentially bringing a change in weather across the Western Himalayan regions. According to the IMD, light rain and snowfall are likely in some areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh between February 9 and 11. If it rains, the cold is likely to intensify in the plains.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that the weather will remain bad in Jammu and Kashmir for the next 12 hours. Rain and snowfall are likely at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand between February 9 and 11. According to the IMD, there will be no significant change in minimum temperatures in Northwest India over the next two days.

Delhi-NCR Weather Forecast
Strong surface winds and light fog are expected in Delhi-NCR. The maximum temperature may reach 24 to 25 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be around 10 degrees Celsius.

 Uttar Pradesh Weather Forecast
The weather is likely to remain dry in Uttar Pradesh, but a dense fog alert has been issued for approximately 25 districts. In Bihar, despite daytime sunshine, cold winds are intensifying the chill. Due to fog, road and rail traffic may be affected in UP and Bihar, so passengers are advised to exercise extra caution.

Rain warning for these states
The cold wave is expected to intensify further in Jharkhand. Meanwhile, rain and snowfall may be witnessed in the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Temperatures have dropped below freezing in the hilly regions, causing considerable difficulties for locals and tourists. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert predicting rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand between February 9 and 11. On February 10, heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds gusting up to 30-40 km per hour, is expected in Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining areas.
