New Delhi: A major accident occurred at the Surajkund Mela in Faridabad, Haryana. A ride at the fair suddenly broke and collapsed, causing panic among the crowd. Several people were injured in the incident. The injured have been admitted to the hospital, and some are in critical condition.
According to eyewitnesses, the moment the ride broke, a scene of chaos and screaming erupted at the fair. People ran in all directions in fear.
Police officers arrived at the scene immediately after being informed of the accident and rescued the trapped people. A police inspector was also seriously injured.
Six other people are reported to have been injured. The Managing Director of the Tourism Department and senior police officials rushed to the spot. The entire area has been cordoned off to prevent any further incidents.
