In such circumstances, UIDAI provides you with the option to update your Aadhaar details. However, there are limits on updating certain details. if you need to correct any incorrect information on your Aadhaar card, the UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) offers the option to update your Aadhaar details.

But it’s important to note that you can’t change every piece of information repeatedly. This means that different limits have been set for changing details like name, mobile number, address, or gender in your Aadhaar card. This means that you can update some details as many times as you want; there’s no restriction on them. However, some details can only be changed once. Therefore, if you want to change your mobile number, it’s important to know how many times you can update your Aadhaar card. Let us explain.

If the mobile number on your Aadhaar card is incorrect, or you’ve acquired a new number and want to update it, there’s no need to worry. You can easily update your new mobile number in your Aadhaar. According to UIDAI guidelines, you can change your mobile number in your Aadhaar any number of times. There’s no limit on this. This means that if you’ve acquired a new number or your old one has been discontinued, you can easily update your new number in your Aadhaar.

How to update mobile number in Aadhaar Card?

For your information, you can’t update your mobile number completely online. You’ll need to visit your nearest Aadhaar service center to have your new number updated in UIDAI records. However, you can book an appointment online. Let’s find out how.

Here are the steps-

First of all go to UIDAI website (https://uidai.gov.in/)

Then select the option My Aadhaar > Get Aadhaar > Book an Appointment.

Now select your city or location from the dropdown list and click on Proceed to book Appointment.

After this enter your registered mobile number, fill the captcha and click on Generate OTP.

Enter the received OTP, click on Verify OTP and proceed further.

Now you need to select Resident Type and fill in some important details. This includes your Aadhaar number, name as written on Aadhaar, date of birth, application verification type, state, city, and Aadhaar service center.

After you’ve entered all the details, select the details you want to change. For example, if you want to change your mobile number, select the “New Mobile No.” option.

Now tap on Next and select the date and time of your appointment.

Again press Next, check the details and submit.

After this, reach the Aadhaar service centre on the fixed date and time with the confirmation slip and get your mobile number updated there.
