This year, Diwali falls on October 20th and 21st, while Bhai Dooj falls on October 23rd. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced plans to make Bhai Dooj a special occasion for Ladli Behens. He has clarified from various platforms that Ladli Behens will begin receiving the increased monthly amount of ₹1,500 after Diwali.
How much will the increased amount be
Currently, beneficiary women receive an installment of ₹1,250 per month, but this amount will now increase by ₹250. It is not yet clear whether this increased installment will be for October or November, but certainly, all future installments will now be paid at the rate of ₹1,500. Sending ₹1,500 instead of ₹1,250 will impose an additional financial burden of approximately ₹318 crore on the state government.
Ladli Behna’s Amount to Reach ₹3,000 in the Future
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has also set a long-term goal for the Ladli Behna Scheme. He has made a major announcement regarding plans.
