Monsoon Update:- Heavy rains are being witnessed in North India. Life has been affected due to continuous heavy rains. According to the IMD, the period of light rain in Himachal may continue till September 15. Additionally, a yellow alert has been issued for September 12 and 13. Apart from Himachal, heavy rains have caused significant damage in most districts of Uttarakhand.

There is also a possibility of lightning in the plains. Heavy rains are continuing in most states of the country. Heavy rains are being experienced in many states across eastern, northern, northeastern, western, central, and peninsular India. Apart from this, strong winds with thunderstorms have also been expected in many areas. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected to continue in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim from September 8 to 10.

Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya during September 12 to 14. Additionally, heavy rains are expected in Nagaland and Manipur on September 11 and 12. At the same time, an alert has been issued due to heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in Odisha on 11-12 September.

Rain warning in West and North-West India

According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued due to heavy rains in various places in Saurashtra and Kutch on September 8. Apart from this, heavy rains have been predicted at different locations in Saurashtra and Kutch on 9 September. The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains at various places in western Rajasthan on 9 September. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall is expected in some areas of Uttarakhand on 12 and 13 September. There is a possibility of rain in western Uttar Pradesh on September 12 and 13. Additionally, there is a possibility of rain in eastern Uttar Pradesh on September 11 and 12.

Rain warning in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rainfall is expected at many places in western Madhya Pradesh on the 14th. Apart from this, there may be rain in eastern Madhya Pradesh on the 10th, 11th and 13th. Additionally, an alert has been issued regarding rainfall in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on the 10th and 11th. A warning of heavy rain has been issued in Odisha during 10-13th September. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy to hefty rainfall in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during 8-10th and in Odisha on 11th and 12th September.
