Apply Online from UIDAI Website
- To get Baal Aadhaar, first visit the UIDAI website.
- Go to the “My Aadhaar” tab and select “Book an Appointment”.
- Choose your city and Aadhaar service center, then select New Aadhaar Enrollment for Child.
Enter Mobile Number
Enter your mobile number. You will get an OTP. After entering the OTP, your appointment will be confirmed.
Visit Aadhaar Centre
- On the appointment day, go to the Aadhaar centre with your child and the required documents.
- You need the child’s birth certificate and the Aadhaar card of mother or father.
- At the centre, the parent’s biometric will be verified, and the child’s photo will be taken.
Age Limit for Baal Aadhaar
- There is no minimum age for Baal Aadhaar. Even a newborn baby can get it.
- For children below 5 years, no biometrics are taken. Only the photo is taken. The child’s Aadhaar is linked to the parent’s Aadhaar.
Card Delivery and Future Biometric Update
- After enrollment, you will get a slip. Within 60 to 90 days, the child’s Aadhaar card will be delivered to your address.
- Biometrics of the child must be updated after 5 years and again after 15 years. This keeps Aadhaar valid for future use.
