Mahindra celebrated Independence Day 2025 with a surprise by unveiling four new SUV concept models. The models—Vision X, Vision T, Vision S, and Vision SXT—were unveiled as part of the company’s Freedom NU program. All four have a different design language and SUV segment, but they all use the new NU.IQ platform. The platform will drive future C-segment vehicles in India and overseas, indicating Mahindra’s interest in innovation and going global.

Vision T

The Vision T boasts a traditional boxy SUV body that enthusiasts of hard-hitting vehicles will immediately notice. Its chunky stance and sharp edges give it a hard-hitting and authoritative road presence. Based on previous concept designs such as the Thar.e, the Vision T is geared towards adventure riders who prefer old-school styling but are also seeking a touch of modernity. It is built for customers who like tough design as well as off-road performance.

Vision SXT

In addition to the Vision T, Mahindra showed off the Vision SXT in a unique pickup-style design. The interior compartment has been designed to appear more utilitarian, and the spare wheel is placed on the back deck. This SUV is obviously for drivers who need a functional vehicle for dirt paths and adventurous travels. The design appears functional and robust, which makes it perfect for outdoor use while foreshadowing a future production model with everyday use.

Vision S

Vision S is distinct with its sleek, box-like shape combined with a contemporary and high-end front fascia. LED light bars, L-shaped headlights, and the twin-peaks logo that is signature of Mahindra give it a technological look. Off-roading capability is added by robust features such as roof-mounted lights, solid bumpers, large wheel arches, and side cladding. Flush door handles, slim mirrors, and fresh designs on the alloys add that premium touch. Some of these factors may even drive future Bolero model designs.

Vision X

Mahindra also unveiled the Vision X, and it has a sharper and sportier bent. Svelte headlamps, slinky intakes, and a stretched hood provide it with an athletic look. Its sloping roofline suggests a coupe-like crossover, where performance meets form. With dual-tone rear bumpers and futuristic trim, the Vision X showcases Mahindra’s capability to blend premium styling with global SUV standards.
